I am developing a body of new work of which Nebula is the first completed one. She was born out of my interest in physics. Although nothing existed at the moment of the big bang the mathematical rules were laid down for our subsequent appearance on the earth. Nebula is blasted into existence and composed of stardust. I am trying to get beyond the purely decorative and produce work with content that engages the viewer in a dialogue about contemporary life and experience.
This piece is now on display at The Boathouse arts venue in Barking and aboard a luxury houseboat in Nine Elms, Battersea.
